Vacation, Anyone?

Doesn't look like I'll be going on vacation this winter. I sure would like to go someplace warm but it isn't in the cards. My car needs new brakes and a timing belt and tires. Groan! I guess I'll just be driving my vacation around in the snow.

I feel your pain! I won't be going anywhere this year either. Usually my buddies and I take off for Florida or Texas the day after Christmas but one of them lost his job this year and the other one got married. The rest of us are feeling broke. Food, gas, rent went up and my salary is staying the same. Winter isn't supposed to start til the 21st. Must be all that global warming. ha ha!

This economy really stinks! I finally got my girlfriends to agree to go the the Keys this year. Now they're all backing out because they say it's too expensive. But I'm going someplace warm this winter even if I have to visit my grandmother in Florida. This Chicago winter is already too brutal and I'm not sticking around to see what January dumps on us. That's for sure!

No vacation for me either. Too many people have been laid off where I work. If I go on vacation, I'm afraid I won't have a job when I get back. It's bad especially here in Michigan. Nobody has any jobs here.

The only place that is hiring in Indiana is the Blue Chip Casino. They're building a hotel which is supposed to be finished soon. This goes to show you that smoking is good for business. The Blue Chip doesn't have a million dollar losses like the casinos in Illinois.

I am going on vacation but not til maybe May but I won't fly. The airlines are in too much of a mess. My friends and I are going to Charleston. I've always wanted to go there and Savannah. We'd like to go sooner but we don't want to hit Spring Break. The Spring Breakers are maniacs.
